Finally, I'm posting the long-due post for my sweet Adam's birthday! I still don't have his baby pictures scanned, but I'm doing it anyway and will add those in later.
Happy 12th Birthday to my Adam Walker!

Adam with Emma right after she was born
You were my second child, coming only 14 months after your brother. I remember the first time I thought I was pregnant with you. We were in Charlotte visiting B and Giggy. I waited until we got home to Frisco to take the test and, sure enough, those two lines popped up pretty quickly! When we told people, they didn't believe us! Who, in their right mind, would be excited about being pregnant when they had a 6-month-old baby? We were!
Shortly after we found out you were on the way we also found out that we were moving to The Philippines for Dad's job. So I spent most of my pregnancy preparing for this move and being pretty stressed out. I'm sure that transferred over to you....which is something I regret about that time.
We induced your birth early on February 22nd. I had an epidural before they even started the pitocin and it was a great day! You brother popped in and out and Dad and I chatted and watched TV. When it was finally time for you to be born, the nurse called over to my doctor's office to tell her to come....quickly! She literally came running into the room and you were born immediately. She said she almost dropped you....

Halloween (I promise)
You were a challenging baby for us....but I really think that much of that was our fault. You had the worst case of colic but now I'm sure sure that it's from the stress in my life. The first three months of your life was so crazy and stressful. Our house was on the market and we were packing to move all the way around the world. When you were five weeks old, we moved to a hotel so they could pack our house. And then when you were only 7 weeks old, we moved around to the world to a 3rd World Country. You lived in a hotel room for 4 weeks and were exposed to germs and stresses that most adults don't have to experience. When you were only 3 months old, you got e-coli from someone touching you out in public.
You were a trooper through 30-hour trips back and forth to the US.....you've had your diaper changed in many airports and over many countries. You adapted to different types of food and different people over and over.

You have always been my comedian and I can always count on you to make me laugh! In the happiest times of our lives and in the saddest times of our lives, you have been the one to pick me up and make me smile.
Baseball, football, golf, lacrosse......loves it all!
The Neighborhood friends....what a great group!
I can't believe you are 12 years old....you are a wonderful son and a great brother to Clayton, Emma and Audrey. I love you more than you know!!!! Happy 12th Birthday Adam!
